Editorial Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Every health article on Rinnit is written from peer-reviewed research and established medical sources, reviewed by a licensed physician before publication, and carries a visible "last reviewed" date. This page explains how we choose sources, who reviews our content, how we keep it current and how to report an error.

1. OUR MISSION

Rinnit's health section exists to turn complex medical research into clear, accurate information that anyone can understand and act on. We write for people who want to understand a condition, a treatment or a new study before they talk to their own doctor, not instead of talking to them.

2. WHO WRITES AND REVIEWS OUR CONTENT

All health articles on Rinnit are reviewed by Dr. Baraa Alnahhal, MD, a general practitioner who graduated from Zagazig University (MBBCh, 2024) and practises at Zagazig General Hospital and Alahrar Teaching Hospital in Egypt. The reviewer's name and the review date appear on every article. Content is drafted with the help of research and writing tools, then checked by the physician reviewer for medical accuracy, completeness and plain-language clarity before it is published. No article goes live without that review.

3. HOW WE CHOOSE SOURCES

We build every article from sources in this order of preference: (a) peer-reviewed studies indexed in PubMed, with priority given to systematic reviews, meta-analyses, large randomised controlled trials and clinical practice guidelines; (b) established medical institutions and public-health bodies, such as the Mayo Clinic, the World Health Organization, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and national health services; (c) official guidance from professional medical societies in the relevant specialty. We do not cite personal blogs, forums, press releases, commercial product pages or secondary news reports as medical evidence. Every study we reference is verified against its PubMed record or DOI before publication, and the numbers we quote are taken from the study's own abstract or results, not from a summary of it.

4. HOW WE PRESENT THE EVIDENCE

Each article includes a "What the research says" section that summarises two to three key studies in plain language, with the study size, the main result and a link to the original paper. The full list of sources appears in a References section at the end of every article, formatted with authors, title, journal, year, PMID and DOI so that readers can check the evidence themselves.

5. OUR REVIEW PROCESS

Before an article is published, the physician reviewer checks that medical claims match the cited sources and reflect current guidelines; that dosages, thresholds and timelines are stated accurately and with appropriate caution; that the article explains clearly when a symptom needs urgent care and when to see a doctor; and that the language is plain, specific and free of exaggeration.

6. UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS

We re-review articles when a major guideline changes, when an important new study is published, or at least once every 12 months. The "last reviewed" date on each article reflects the most recent physician review, not a cosmetic edit. If you find an error, email support@rinnit.com with the article link and the issue. We investigate every report, correct confirmed errors promptly, and note material corrections at the foot of the article.

7. INDEPENDENCE AND ADVERTISING

Rinnit's health articles are editorially independent of the Rinnit store. Product listings, advertising and affiliate relationships never influence what we publish, which sources we cite or how we describe a treatment. Where an article contains a link to a product or a paid relationship, it is clearly labelled.

8. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

The information on Rinnit is for general education and does not replace a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. It is not a substitute for a diagnosis, treatment plan or medical advice tailored to you. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Read our full Medical Disclaimer for details.
